Watercolor Florals

Painting flowers with watercolor is  one of the most challenging subjects to paint. Flowers are complicated to draw and actively move in three dimensions.  Also, there are very specific colors attached to them. These attributes make them prime grist for the challenge of transparent watercolor as the medium will not tolerate reworking or indecision. I paint in a circle, moving from left to right finishing the painting as I go and using my left hand (non dominant) to guarantee that the painting is all about intention and  not about dexterity.
